Dear Many Arms,
I know you spend most of your time experimenting with the chaotic sounds of free-jazz and punk, and that you just signed to John Zorn’s label, Tzadik Records, and that you’re releasing your third full-length album, Beyond Territories, in March 2012. That’s all cool. In fact, it’s swell — hell, it’s damn peachy. But, I have a question: Do you ever wonder what it would be like to actually have more than two arms?? Sure, you’d have to sew extra sleeves onto all your shirts, but imagine how many things you could do all at the same time! I’d probably try making French toast while drinking a cup of coffee while writing a play while painting a portrait of my cat (if I had a cat, that is). I think I could dig having a few extra arms. What do you think? What would you do with more than two arms? Would you even want extra arms? Just wondering.
Anyway, can’t wait to see you guys live with “Little Women + more” on December 1 at Philadelphia’s Elena’s Soul Lounge!
